Passport Rules For Employees Made Strict By J&K Admin

The J&K admin made the latest clearance by the anti-graft body Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) mandatory for its employees for obtaining a passport. “The passport to the citizens including Government employee is issued on the basis of verification carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The current system does not contain any mechanism as would help denying the passport to such employees who are either under suspension or facing departmental inquiry or prosecution on account of serious charges,” reads a government circular. Transit Camp worth Rs. 40 Crore will be will be constructed for accommodation of 336 Kashmiri Pandit migrant families in Baramulla. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that this is part of the efforts to rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir. “For the rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pandits, a transit camp will be constructed at a cost of Rs 40 crore. J&K has witnessed a shocking rise in crimes against women  the National Crime Records Bureau’s latest report has revealed.
