Goldrush: Kupwara trio receive gold medals from President.

Three Kupwara youth received gold medals from President Ramnath Kovind during the recent convocation of the University of Kashmir (KU). The three individuals namely Peerzada Muhammad Zahid, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat and Asif Iqbal Shah achieved this feat in their respective fields. All the gold. Kulgam Youth achieves All India Rank-2 in IES 2020. Becomes first from Kashmir to qualify the IES exam.

Tanveer Ahmad Khan a resident of Kulgam, has secured All India Rank-2 in the Indian Economic Services (IES) 2020. He achieved this rank in the IES exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and became the first youth from Kashmir to qualify for the IES exam. A remarkable feat. Indian national flag could soon be seen atop of Srinagar’s historic Hari Parbat Fort according to the administration. The Kashmir administration has directed several of its departments to issue a conditional No Objection Certificate (NOC) for installation of a massive Indian national flag at the 213-year-old Hari Parbat fort in Srinagar. The government told Parliament that Jammu and Kashmir will be granted statehood at an “appropriate” time after normalcy is restored there. Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai stated this in a written reply to Rajya Sabha.
