West Indies v Pakistan: Pakistan were bowled out by West Indies for 217 on the opening day of the First test match at Kingston, Jamaica.

Put into bat by the hosts, Pakistan lost both openers cheaply and found themselves at 21/2. Stalwart Azhar Ali partnered with captain Babar Azam for a mini revival, before the former was dismissed by Jayden Seales.

Pakistan’s top white ball performers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan fell after a good looking partnership. With the team 101/5, Fawad Alam and Faheem Ashraf shouldered the responsibility to getting their side to a respectable total.

The duo added 85 runs for the 6th wicket as Pakistan inched to 200. Faheem was run out after an impressive 44 runs. Fawad Alam again fought on to score a well deserved half-century before being the 9th wicket to fall.

In reply, West Indies have had a troubled start as Mohammad Abbas got rid of Kieran Powell and Nkrumah Bonner to leave the hosts at 2/2 at the stumps.
