A school went up in flames after forces fired a teargas shell to break up a rally going on in its compound in Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Wednesday.
Reports and witnesses said that several people were injured after forces fired teargas shells into the rally.
One of the shells, they said, landed inside the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya school building in Mirhama village, setting it aflame.
The school ambulance also caught fire in the forces’ action.
