DSP, School Principal Sacked For Terror Links

The J&K administration has sacked  a deputy superintendent of police and a school principal for alleged terror links, continuing a zero tolerance policy towards links with militant outfits.

Official sources said services of Feroz Ahmad LoneDSP (Prison), and Javid Ahmad Shah, principal of government higher secondary school in Bijbehara were terminated on Monday.

Lone, who was appointed as DSP (Prison) in 2012, was charged with facilitating a meeting between two youths and a jailed terrorist commander, who was arrested by NIA. He was accused of misusing his official position by facilitating issuance of passes to the two youths, who had come to meet the terrorist in Srinagar jail.

“It was in this meeting that a criminal conspiracy was hatched to send the duo to Pakistan for arms training,” an official claimed, adding that both were, however, arrested before crossing over to the neighbouring country.

According to sources, Javid was a sympathizer of Hurriyat and Jamat-e-Islami. He was charged with playing the role of an advisor to Hurriyat cadres and Jamat operating in Bijbehara in 2016.

Javid Ahmad Shah, principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Bijbehara, Anantnag instead of channelising the energy of youth in the right direction, radicalised the girl students to promote an anti-India mindset.
