An army trooper was detained Srinagar International Airport after one live round of Insas rifle was recovered from his luggage.
The soldier identified as Hawaldar Pawan Singh of Army’s 17 Raj Rifles was detained by the security personnel at the police post Humhama on Tuesday after one live round of Insas rifle was recovered from his baggage at the airport’s drop gate, reports said.
The soldier, who is posted at Farkiyan top in the border district of Kupwara, was taken into custody for questioning.
A police official said that the soldier has been detained at police post Humhama and further investigation has been launched in this regard.
