The spokesperson of the Bhartiya Janta Party, Nupur Sharma spew venom against the Muslim community on a prime-time news show, insulting the last Prophet of Islam (PBUH).
In a reference to the episode of Miraj when the Prophet met Allah, which has a reference in the Holy Quran she asked if I shall speak of the “flying horses.” Nupur Sharma also used derogatory words against the Prophet accusing him of having “sex” with a 9-year-old girl, in a visible reference to Ayesha, the wife of Prophet Muhammad.
Various Islamic scholars have argued over the age of Hazrat Ayesha, however, authentic references put her age around 19. Nikah e Baliga, one of the most authentic books written on the wedding of Aisha puts her age at 19.

The BJP spokesperson also commented that Islam argues that the earth was flat in a derogatory term.
Mohammed Zubair, a fact checker shared the video on twitter and wrote, “Prime Time debates in India have become a platform to encourage hate mongers to speak ill about other religions. @TimesNow ‘s Anchor @navikakumar is encouraging a rabid communal hatemonger & a BJP Spokesperson to speak rubbish which can incite riots. Shame on you @vineetjaintimes .”
Navika Kumar, the host of the TV show can be seen silently listening to all this, and only after the derogatory language was done with, did the TV anchor intervene and asked the panes lists to “calm down.”
The incident has triggered angry reactions across India and netizens have been demanding an arrest of the BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
