21-year-old Neeraj Bishnoi believed to be the main accused and the creator of the Bulli Bai app on which Muslim women were put up for an online ‘auction’, has been arrested from Assam, top sources in Delhi Police said today.
A total of four arrests have been made in the case so far. Photos of several Muslim women were uploaded on the app without their consent for a virtual auction. The case triggered massive outrage.
Neeraj Bishnoi is a second year B.Tech student from the Vellore Institute of Technology in Bhopal. He is a resident of Assam’s Digambar Jorhat.
Three people were earlier arrested in the case by the Mumbai Police, including the prime accused — 18-year-old Shweta Singh.
