Fourteen civilians were injured after government forces fire live ammunition and pellets in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday, reports and witnesses said.
They said that the forces opened fire to break up protests in Nowgam-Vihil village of the district, injuring 14 people.
Four people have sustained bullet injuries while the rest have been hit by pellets, said a hospital source.
Three among the injured have been shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatment.
