Informers who tipped off forces about slain rebels identified: Hizb

Hizbul Mujahideen Tuesday while paying tributes to the three militants, who were killed during an encounter in south Kashmir’s Ashmuqam, said that the indigenous rebel group has identified the informers who tipped off the government forces.

Chairing a special meeting of the Hizb command council, United Jihad Council chief, Syed Salahuddin said, “The martyrs of Bijbehara- Adil Ahmad Shiekh, Tanveer Ahmad Bhat and Sartaj Ahmad Lone have laid down their lives for Islam and the freedom of their motherland.”

Salah-ud-Din, according to a statement issued to a local news agency, said, “All the freedom fighters fought bravely with the armed forces and embraced martyrdom. The martyrdom of these freedom fighters amply demonstrates the fact that every Mujahid of Hizb is committed to Kashmir cause and is ready to sacrifice his precious life to achieve the noble cause.”

Salah-ud-Din according to the statement said that the persons involved in spying and informing the forces have been identified. “The persons involved in informing Indian army about Hizb militants didn’t only sell their religion but have also shrunk their land in the Valley,” he said.
