Parvaiz, a specially-abled boy from Handwara Jammu & Kashmir who went viral after a video of him walking to school on one leg surfaced online, will soon be able to walk properly.
A ray of hope has emerged for Parvaiz.
As his school going video went viral Jaipur Foot USA Chairman Prem Bhandari contacted his family and has pledged to provide an artificial limb for him free of cost.
Bhandari decided to help the boy after seeing a video of the boy posted by ANI on its official Twitter account.

The chairman said, “As soon as I read ANI’s tweet I decided to contact the family. I will provide an artificial limb to Parvaiz free of cost.”
Union Minister of State, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment also tweeted:
“Thanks to @ANI for bringing this matter to our attention. We have taken note of it. The Officers of Composite Regional Center, Srinagar under @MSJEGOI Ministry, GoI have been directed to contact the boy and provide necessary Assistive Device urgently.”
Despite having lost his left leg at a very tender age to a massive blaze, Parvaiz is presently studying in Class 9 at Government High School in Nowgam.
In an exclusive conversation with ANI on Friday, the 14-year old child said, “I cover a distance of about two kilometres daily while balancing on one leg. Roads are not good. If I get an artificial limb, I can walk. I have a dream to achieve something in my life.”
