The 25-year-old was also on Monday voted Bengaluru FC Fans’ Player of the Season, surpassing teammates like India star striker Sunil Chhetri.
The Bengaluru FC attacking midfielder’s selection comes on the back of an impressive display in Indian Super League (top tier football league in the country). Danish, playing his maiden ISL season, scored 3 goals and created 2 in 17 appearances to become a mainstay in Bengaluru’s starting XI.
Dowtown-born Danish had an all-round 2022 season with his work rate, and his defensive and offensive contributions enough to impress India coach Stimac.
Danish shared the news on his Instagram handle ‘danishbat09’, and will be delighted with the news.
