A photo featuring Kashmir’s Seekh tujj (barbeque) seller clicked by Debdatta Chakraborty has won a top international award.
The Indian photographer who clicked the photo of a street vendor covered in smoke from barbeques in Srinagar was named the overall winner of Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2022.

The awards founder and director Caroline Kenyon said, “Sparks fly from the skewers, whose roasting we can almost smell. We imagine the warm, delicious aroma. This image, gentle but powerful, nourishes our soul.”
Pertinently, thousands of photographers from all around the world had submitted their entries from more than 60 countries across the world.
Thousands of people from across the world entered this year’s competition, and an overall winner was chosen for each category.
The Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year competition was established in 2011. The awards honour the best food photography and video from across the world.
