Syed Tauqir and Syed Taufiq are two siblings and law students from Kashmir, known for their comedy videos on social media. The duo have made people roll over laughing with their satirical, funny and over the top skits.
Tauqir the eldest of the two, began their identity as entertainers in 2017 after he posted a video on his Instagram of a dubbing a skit from a movie. Expecting the usual response from friends and family, he was surprises when he realized the video had crossed thousands of likes overnight.

After a while he posted another video and that too proved to be a hit among viewers. Soon Tauqir was receiving messages of appreciation and requests for making more such funny, comic videos.
His brother Taufiq who was making such videos since 2015 then decided to team up and the duo soared to popularity.
Despite their early struggles such as making a tripod out of a bottle for a shoot they kept strong. Releasing one funny video after another, the brothers were soon one of the must see acts from Kashmir on social media.
Another story of their early years was when Tauqir had put on weird make up for one his acts and was scolded by his parents over it, yet he persisted and made things work.
While Tauqir can be seen as the comic act with his at times slap stick comedy doing the trick, Taufiq’s comic timing and gestures are equally important and funny in the videos.
Taufiq’s acting in the videos comes across as that of a trained actor and his subtle gestures add to the fun quotient of the duo’s videos.\
One of the biggest challenges the brothers faced was when they had made a satirical video on Law students and unemployment and had a defamation case filed against them.
The two ended up winning the case and continued with their hilarious videos. The duo cite this as an important lesson for them as it showcased that when it comes to satire and laughing at oneself we as a society had some distance to go.
In their opinion we will laugh and enjoy the content when it is about someone else, but as soon as we ourselves are a target of someone’s jokes we tend to become defensive and complain about it.
Although Tauqir believes this is not something that is widespread and there are people who take humor for what it is meant to be and laugh it off.
Currently both are pursuing law with Tauqir in his final year and Taufiq in his fourth year. They say for them making these funny videos is just a hobby and they do want to pursue their careers in law going forward.
Regardless of what they do going forward when it comes to their professional careers, Tauqir and Taufiq are one of Kashmir’s best entertaining units as they continue to tickle our funny bone for now and long that may continue.
It is quite a treat that a couple of law students have taken to relax, delight and make people laugh while carving their own path.
