Human rights activist Khurram Parvez has been moved by the authorities to Delhi’s Tihar jail under 3-week judicial custody, following his arrest by the National Investigation Agency from his residence in Srinagar on November 22.
Sources told Kashmir News Service that Parvez who is associated with JKCCS has been sent to 3-week judicial custody and has been shifted to Tihar jail.
Khurram’s arrest made in connection with a case filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), including terror funding.
The NIA had also conducted a raid at the office of JKCCS in Srinagar and had also seized mobile phones, laptop and some books from Parvez’s house.
