An abducted minor girl was recovered within hours by J&K Police in Srinagar with the accused person involved in the commission of a crime arrested.
A police official said, On 13/06/2022, Police Post Nagbal received a written complaint from one person resident of Shuhama Nagbal regarding the abduction of her minor granddaughter. In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 162/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was set into motion.

“During the course of the investigation, a special Police team led by DO Nagbal was constituted. The special team acting swiftly raided various suspected places for recover the abducted girl. After strenuous efforts, the Police team recovered the abducted minor girl in Srinagar at Nehru Park within hours and also arrested the accused kidnapper. The accused has been identified as Aquib Ahamd Lone son of Gh Mohd Lone resident of Bumai Sopore“, he said.
He said that after completion of all legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation into the matter is going on.
