A ‘magician’ posing as a beggar has allegedly looted cash besides gold from a residential house in Ichgam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
The family members according to news agency Kashmir Dot Com said that a beggar came to their house and requested for tea and on humanitarian ground we provided him tea.

They said while having tea he started asking different questions and asked about the wellbeing of our daughter who remains unwell.
He later started asking about gold and money and with the help of magic he managed to loot our whole cash and gold, they alleged.
The affected house owner has been identified as Abdul Rashid Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Ichgam Budgam.
They have sought help from district administration and police to identify the person and take legal action against him.
Locals have also requested higher ups to investigate the matter and book the involved person so that such incidents won’t happen in future. (KDC)
