Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the temporary position under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) National Fellow Project “Development of sensitive and specific diagnostic assay for the detection of warble fly infestation in goats and eradication of the disease from Jammu and Kashmir” as detailed below :

Essential qualifications : Ph.D in Veterinary Parasitology/ Veterinary Microbiology/ Veterinary Immunology/ Veterinary Virology/Animal Biotechnology’ OR Masters degree in Veterinary Parasitology/ Veterinary Microbiology/ Veterinary Immunology/ Veterinary Virology/Animal Biotechnology’ having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated (> 4,0).
Preference : Candidates having experience in basic molecular biology tools, western blotting, cloning, protein expression, sequencing, immunoassays, bioinformatic software’s and computer knowledge as evident from published research papers and having research experience will be preferred.
Emoluments : For Ph.D degree holders: Rs. 54,000/- per month + HRA (as applicable) For Masters degree holders: Rs. 49,000/- per month + HRA (as applicable)
Tenure of the post : Up to 12th April, 2022 or completion of the project whichever is earlier.
Age Limit : 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and PHC as per GOI/ICAR rules).
Candidate must have B.V.Sc. & A.H. I B.V.Sc. degree
Terms and Conditions :
The post is temporary and on purely contractual basis up to 12th April, 2022 .
The candidates shall have no legal right to claim his/her regularization/appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular post or any other contractual engagement as the project is purely time bound and non-regular.
The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
The services of the incumbent shall stand terminated automatically on expiry of the period of the project.The University/funding agency reserves right to withdraw advertised post at any stage without assigning any reason
No objection and experience certificate from the current employer in case she/he is in employment.
No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the aforesaid interview.
The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
The Screening Committee may restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview after taking into consideration the qualifications and experience as per the advertisement.
Only short listed candidates will be informed through e-mail/ phone for attending the interview through online / personal mode.
