26th January began with a similar feeling for most Kashmiris as they woke up to internet services being suspended in the valley.
Yet there was a something going on in the city centre Lal Chowk, that was not entirely unexpected. Amid tightened security and restrictions Indian national flag was hoisted atop the iconic Ghanta Ghar by some social activists.
Yet in less than two hours those activists and the flag was nowhere to be seen and this has led to some strong reaction from National Conference leader and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
