One person was killed and several others injured in a mysterious blast at busy Slathia Chowk in Udhampur district on Wednesday, officials said.
A police officer said that there was a blast this afternoon in the busy market, leading to on the spot death of a civilian and injuries to 15 others, reported news agency GNS.

Soon after the information, senior police officers along with experts reached the spot and are trying to ascertain the nature the blast which hitherto remains mysterious.
“All the injured have been shifted to Udhampur hospital where they are being treated upon and condition of a few is reportedly serious,” they said, adding that the nature of explosion is being ascertained—(KNO)
The identity of the deceased as well as the injured persons was being ascertained, the police officer.
