In a suspected incident of fratricide on Friday morning, three soldiers were killed and one was injured in an alleged shootout inside an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Surankote area of Poonch district.
The victims are from 156 Territorial Army and are locals from Jammu and Kashmir.
Defense sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that there was a heated argument between Imran Ahmed, a resident of Kalakote, and Imtiyaz Ahmed of Mendhar over some personal matter. Both opened fire on each other leading to their death, however, some bullets hit two other soldiers identified as Makhan Singh and Khalil Ahmed, leaving them critically injured.

The injured were airlifted to Udhampur Army Hospital where one among them succumbed to his injuries.
