The police on Friday said that two teenagers involved in the hit and run case in Rajbagh in the Srinagar district were arrested along with their fathers.
The district Srinagar police tweeted, “Two Juveniles apprehended in hit [and] run case where one youth from Kupwara died in Raj Bagh today.”

“Dr. Shamin Bhat [and] Fayaz Rather, fathers of both juveniles, arrested in 191A MV act for giving vehicle to minors. Case registered at Raj Bagh PS u/s 279,304A of IPC [and] vehicle seized,” the tweet added.
Pertinently, a 35-year-old man namely Bashir Ahmad Bhat from Drugmulla was hit by an unknown vehicle near Rajbagh and died on spot. He was an ATM guard by profession.
