Rasikh Salam, who was earlier part of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019, was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders at his base price of 20 lakh.
Earlier, in December 2018 he was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League.
Hence became the third cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to be picked in the Indian Premier League.

This selected comes as redemption for Rasikh, who was banned from professional cricket for two years on age discrepancy.
This young cricketer from Ashmuji area of Kulgam will now represent Kolkata franchise in the upcoming IPL season.
Rasikh recently played for J&K Under-25 side and performed well. However, he was still left out of J&K Ranji Trophy side.
During his two year ban, Rasikh trained in Mumbai Indians academy in Mumbai.
Rest of the 10 players who had made it to the auction list included Mujtaba Yousuf, Parvez Rasool, Henan Malik, Qamran Iqbal, Fazil Rashid, Abid Mushtaq, Nasir Lone, Auqib Nabi, Vivrant Sharma and Yudhvir Singh.
While Mujtaba’s name came up twice in the auction, other nine didn’t even get a mention. Mujtaba remained unsold at both the occasions.
