Shahid Afridi led his side Rawalakot Hawks to victory by 7 runs in the final of Kashmir Premier League (KPL) to become champions.
Rawalakot Hawks defeated their opponents Muzaffarabad Tigers at the Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium.
Batting first Rawalakot scored 169 runs in their 20 overs in the KPL final. Kashif Ali top scored with a half-century of 54 runs. He was well aided by Bismillah Khan (30) and cameos by Sahibzada Farhan (28), and Umar Amin (23) took them to good total.
While chasing the home team never got going. Despite best efforts of Zeeshan Ashraf who scored 46 off 26 balls, the Tigers fell short in the end.
The Hawks’ bowlers Asif Afridi and Hussain Talat gave a stellar performance with each bagging 3 wickets. Skipper Shahid Afridi also sent two players back to the pavilion.
