Amreen has left behind an old father and a sister. Ambreen had been acting in various television programs to earn a livelihood for her family. “She was the sole bread earner to the family,” her father Khazir Mohammed said.

“Nobody has come here as of yet. No official has come to visit us because Ambreen came from a poor family,” he said on Thursday.

Expressing anguish, the former Chief Minister said, she was shocked to know that no one from LG admin has bothered to visit them.

She also said that the administration had not even promised any help to Ambreen’s family. Amreen pertinently was the sole breadwinner to her family.

In a tweet, Mehbooba Mufti said, “Visited Ambreen Bhat’s family. Shocked to know that no one from LG admin has bothered to visit them. A sole breadwinner, she struggled to make ends meet. Hope the govt takes her circumstances into consideration & extends help.”
