Mehbooba Mufti, PDP President visited the house of deceased Ambreen Bhat, a TV actress and social media influencer who was shot dead by gunmen in the Chadoora area of Budgam.
According to various reports two men came inside the house of Ambreen Bhat, 35, in Hushroo area of Budgam’s Chadoora belt. The men asked a young nephew of the TV artist, Ambreen to call her out. As soon as she came out, the two men fired bullets at her injuring the TV artist and her 10-year-old nephew.

Amreen has left behind an old father and a sister. Ambreen had been acting in various television programs to earn a livelihood for her family. “She was the sole bread earner to the family,” her father Khazir Mohammed said.
“Nobody has come here as of yet. No official has come to visit us because Ambreen came from a poor family,” he said on Thursday.
Expressing anguish, the former Chief Minister said,she was shocked to know that no one from LG admin has bothered to visit them.
She also said that the administration had not even promised any help to Ambreen’s family. Amreen pertinently was the sole breadwinner to her family.
In a tweet, Mehbooba Mufti said, “Visited Ambreen Bhat’s family. Shocked to know that no one from LG admin has bothered to visit them. A sole breadwinner, she struggled to make ends meet. Hope the govt takes her circumstances into consideration & extends help.”
