A fresh controversy erupted over a question asked in the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) state service and forest service preliminary examination held on Sunday.

The Board, set multiple-choice type questions for the preliminary examination, had a question on Kashmir in the paper.

The question asked, “Should India decide to give Kashmir to Pakistan?” The options given to students against the questions were:

Argument 1: Yes, this will save India’s wealth.
Argument 2: No, such a decision will increase even more similar demands.

Answer: A- Argument 1 is strong.
B- Argument 2 is strong.
C- Argument 1 and Argument 2 are both strong.
D- Both arguments 1 and 2 are not strong.

Following the exam, there was an uproar over the internet.

Seeing the controversy escalating, the Public Service Commission has sent a notice to the person who set up the question paper and has banned him from doing all the MPPSC work.

The Commission, while issuing a notice to the framer of the question paper, wrote that after perusing the matter, it has come to the notice that the question is controversial. “At the same time, the guidelines were not followed due to the framing of questions.”
