WATCH: Kashmiri Pandits Reciting Naats Welcome Hajj Pilgrims At Srinagar Airport; Seek Their Blessings.
In an exemplary display of communal harmony Kashmiri Pandits on Saturday reached Srinagar’s Sheikh ul Alam International Airport to welcome the first batch of 145 Hajis who returned from the Hajj pilgrimage.

The Pandits congratulated the Hajis and sought the blessing of Hajis.
Videos from the event were shared by several internet users including Mohit Bhan, a Kashmiri Pandit activist.
Bhan wrote, “Our Kashmiri Pandits welcoming Hajis at Srinagar airport today by singing traditional Naat seeking the blessings of Prophet. This is our syncretic culture believers of Islam are enablers of Amarnath Yatra & the followers of Shaivism are messengers for unity.”

On Saturday, the first batch of over 145 pilgrims from Jammu Kashmir returned after the annual Haj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, P K Pole, DIG Central Kashmir Range Sujit Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Budgam and JK Executive Officer Haj Committee Abdul Salaam Mir received the first batch of 145 Hajis, who arrived in the first batch that landed at 7.50 am.
