524 Kanal Land Approved CRPF Camping Sites in Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has approved 524 kanal land for CRPF for establishing battalion camping sites, while 122 Kanal Land was also Approved For 1BHK Apartments For Kashmiri Pandits.

The decision in this regard was taken during the Administrative Council (AC) meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha here on Thursday, an official spokesperson said. The LG, he said, also approved the proposal of the Revenue department to transfer various parcels of land for public purposes.

According to the official spokesperson, the AC gave approval to transfer 524 Kanal 11 Marla of land in favour of CRPF for establishing battalion camping sites in the three south Kashmir districts of Anantnag, Shopian and Pulwama.

In Anantnag, the sites include villages Brah, Jummo and Subhanpahari and in Shopian the CRPF camping sites will come up at Allowpora Sheikhpora and Zawoora Baderhama. The three sites in Pulwama are Oukhoo, Kadlabal and Koil.

“The land will be transferred against the payment as per the Stamp Duty Rates notified for the year 2021. It will provide for safe and proper accommodation to CRPF personnel and their families,” the official spokesperson said.

Besides, he said, the AC also approved the transfer of land measuring 20 Kanal in favour of the Police Department for construction of SDPO Office /Police Station Litter in District Pulwama.

“Moreover, sanction was also accorded to the transfer of 122 kanal at Kupwara, Baramulla and Budgam districts in Kashmir Division in favour of Department of Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction for construction of 1BHK tenements for Kashmiri migrant employees appointed under the PM’s Development Package,” the official spokesperson said.
