Hawk eye: Ahead of I-Day, Police in Srinagar deploys drones for surveillance in the city.

Police in Srinagar, Kashmir has deployed over a dozen drones to keep an eye on the city ahead of Independence Day.

Officials from police station Kothi Bagh including SDPO Ghulam Mohiuddin and SHO Muhammad Ishaq took stock of the preparations in the city centre Lal Chowk and adjacent areas.

Sources told news agency KNT that Police continue to search for suspected persons who may create law and order problems ahead of I-Day celebrations.

Security has been beefed up in the city after a recent grenade attack at Amira Kadal. Many checkpoints have been set to keep an eye on suspected persons.

And now drones have been pressed into service to keep a vigil to prevent any untoward incident.
