 Mehbooba Mufti’s mother has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate on July 14th leaving Mehbooba questioning the timing of the summon.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mehbooba alleged that the summon to her mother comes as an “intimidation” by the government of India to settle scores on the political front because the PDP chose not to participate in the Delimitation Commission proceedings.

“On the day PDP chose not to meet Delimitation Commission, ED sent a summon to my mother to appear in person for unknown charges. In its attempts to intimidate political opponents, GOI doesn’t even spare senior citizens. Agencies like NIA & ED are now its tools to settle scores,” she wrote on Twitter.
