French footballer Paul Pogba removed a beer bottle of Heineken, placed in front of him during a post-match press conference, following his side’s 1-0 win over Germany at Euro 2020.
Pogba, a devout Muslim, refrains from using or endorsing alcohol based products. He was speaking to the media after putting in a Man of the Match performance in France’s opening game. He spotted a Heineken beer bottle as he sat down for the presser after the game. The midfielder quietly picked it up and placed it under the table.
France will face Hungary in their next game of Euro 2020 on June 24.
