A major milestone has been achieved in the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project as an 18-coach trial run was conducted on the Katra-Budgam track, officials confirmed on Sunday.

According to a statement shared with the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the trial run commenced at 8 am from Katra, heading towards Budgam. The 18-coach rake test aimed to assess the track’s readiness for full-scale operations.
Senior railway officials closely monitored the trial, ensuring that every aspect of the operation met safety and performance standards.
