Fifty eight persons have been killed in the first three months of the ongoing year, while March alone has witnessed 24 human casualties across Kashmir in different militancy-related incidents.
24 people killed in March include a Panch, 2 Sarpanchs, 4 civilians, 2 cops, a soldier, and a trooper. Besides 13 militants including two non-local militants as per police were killed in March.

The month of March witnessed 24 human casualties, followed by January with 23 killings. February recorded 11 killings among which 7 were local militants, a policeman, 2 soldiers, and a civilian.
This year till date, joint forces have neutralized 41 militants including an infiltrator in 26 encounters. These include 30 local and 11 non-local militants.
Five policemen, 3 soldiers, and a trooper were also killed in the first three months of the ongoing current year. (KNT)
