Meanwhile, PCB has said that a PSL-style league for women cricketers will be held in 2023. The head of Women’s Cricket in Pakistan, Tania Malik announced on Wednesday.

After the approval of Women’s PSL 2023, the Indian cricket fans have started slamming the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that even after being the wealthiest and the most influential cricket board in the world, they have somehow managed to make absolutely no progress in introducing an Indian Premier League for women.

Several major cricketing nations of the world have integrated women’s cricket into their very own franchise cricket setups, including Cricket Australia who have organised a women’s big bash league and England’s The Hundred tournament, introduced, last year.

However, the fans are critisizing BCCI, who boast the most successful franchise league in the world, for leaving their prospects of a women’s IPL hanging in the air.
