Goldsmith Shop, 3 Bakery Outlets Sealed In Srinagar.

The Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department sealed one Goldsmith shop at H.S.H Street and three renowned Bakery/Cafe shops for violating various norms.

The Enforcement squad of the FCS&CA under the leadership of Assistant Director Enforcement, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani also recovered a penal sum of Rs. 12,100 from eight erring shopkeepers.

The action against the erring was taken during a market checking drive conducted in various areas of Srinagar City like­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ Safa Kadal, Khona Khann, Chattabal, Qamarwari, SMHS hospital, Karan Nagar, H.S.H Street, Lal Chowk, Lal Mandi Rajbagh, etc.

During market checking, 61 business establishments were inspected and a penal sum of Rs. 12,100 has been collected as fine from eight erring shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.

Besides, one Goldsmith shop at H.S.H Street has been sealed for violating the norms of hallmark standard, and the non-availability of requisite license. Moreover, three renowned Bakery/Cafe shops are also sealed for overcharging.

The erring lot has been reprimanded to remain careful in future. The drive will continue in the same passion in future as well & whosoever found violating the norms will be brought to justice. In case of any complaint, people may contact the toll-free number 18001807011.
