Store Sealed In Srinagar For Misuse Of Delmonte Label On Tin Juices.

The Enforcement squad of FCS&CA on Wednesday under the leadership of Assistant Director Enforcement conducted a market checking drive in various areas of Srinagar City including Karfali Mohalla, Fateh Kadal, Soura, Buchpora, Pandach, Hazratbal, Pandrethan, Rajbagh, Jawahar Nagar etc.

During market checking 123 business establishments were inspected and a penal sum of Rs.19000 has been collected as fine from 23 erring shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955. Besides, (1) provisional Store at Rajbagh near Convent School Srinagar stands also sealed for double labeling on juice tin by Delmonte.

It is worth mentioning here that during the month of May-2022 an amount of Rs. 1127800 has been collected as fine from 2227 erring traders for violating E. C. Act in the valley, besides, 49 shops also stand sealed and 1 police complaint against chicken seller stands also lodged.

Moreover, the erring lot has been reprimanded to remain careful in future. The drive will continue in the same passion in future as well and whosoever found violating the norms will be brought to justice. In case of any complaint, people may contact the toll free number 18001807011.
