A meteorological department official told that there was the possibility of heavy rain at “scattered places” of South Kashmir and the Jammu region from this afternoon to forenoon on Wednesday.

The minimum temperature continued to hover below normal in Jammu and Kashmir as intermittent light to moderate rain continued on Tuesday.

Intensity of rains may pick up from evening, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected at many places in the Union Territory.

This may lead to flash floods in some areas.

Meanwhile, Srinagar received 2.8 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours till 08:30 hours today and recorded a low of 13.3°C against 13.5°C on the previous night, he said.
