Candidates who qualified exam for the post of Finance Account Assistant (FAA) conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) held a protest on Press Colony on Thursday.
The protesting candidates alleged that there are rumours that the FAA selection list maybe scrapped as it alleged that some candidates may have cheated in the exam.
Braving heaving rains, candidates raised slogans against the JKSSB and urged the LG administration to hold them accountable.

“After qualifying the exam we thought our unemployment woes would end but the rumours that entire selected list maybe scrapped is giving us sleepless nights” said a protesting candidate.
“If some candidates have cheated in the exam, why should everyone among the selected candidates pay the price for their mistake” he questioned.
Another candidate also voiced his disappointment alleging rumour mongering is causing them mental harm.
“I know some candidates who are on the verge of developing mental health issues, we have already lost a lot of time due to the Covid 19 pandemic”.
“If the entire list is scrapped, it will leave a thousand youth unemployed, disheartened and disappointed” he said.
The candidates urged the LG administration to take note of alleged mismanagement in the JKSSB which according to them has put the future of qualified candidates at stake.
It is pertinent to mention, the JKSSB had advertised posts for the Finance Account Assistant (FAA), Junior Assistant, Sub Auditor and other positions in December 2020.
The exam for which was held in the month of March, 2022. JKSSB had published the merit list on 22nd April, 2022.
