Traffic restrictions on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) for 1st and 2nd November-2025

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

In view of the Move of offices from Srinagar to Jammu for the winter season 2025–26, vide Government Order No. 1357-JK(GAD) of 2025 dated 16-10-2025, there shall be no up-movement of Goods Carriers (HMVs/MMVs) from Jammu towards Srinagar on 1st and 2nd November, 2025 (Saturday and Sunday).

However, LMVs shall be allowed from both ends, i.e., from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa.

Moreover, down-movement of HMVs/MMVs from the Valley towards Jammu shall be allowed in a regulated manner, keeping in view the movement of secretariat employees and official records from Srinagar towards Jammu.

Goods carrier (HMV/LMV) Operators carrying fresh perishable/live stock are advised to load their vehicle strictly as per the advisory issued by Traffic Police Hqrs. from time to time and plan their journey accordingly.
