Late-night protests were held in Chinar village of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to prevent the arrests of youths.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown was observed in the district.

In Gangarhama area of Ganderbal, locals offered Asar prayers on the road on the directions of resistance groups.

Reports said that two youths were arrested from Baderkond and one from Garaj area of the district.

Residents of Cherwan Kangan said that restrictions were placed on the movement of people on the third consecutive day

Reports of mild stone-pelting were received from Margund area of Kangan.
