Anantnag Court Directs Police To Register FIR Against BJP Leader in ‘Sexual Exploitation’ case.

A Anantnag local court has directed the Police Station Kokernag for registration of FIR against the BJP leader namely Mohammad Sidiq Khan and Shahid Ahmad Bhat on serious allegations of sexual exploitation and blackmailing of the applicants leveled in the complaint.

The court order dated 11-02-2022 reads that the complainants (name withheld) have approached the Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Vailoo Kokernag with prayer, seeking direction for registration of FIR against the accused persons on the allegations of sexual exploitation and blackmailing.

The court observed that the nature and seriousness of the allegations of the commission of cognizable crime raised by the complainants against the accused persons need a proper and thorough investigation to ascertain the facts.

Meanwhile, the order and copy of the application were referred to the in-charge Police Station Kokernag for compliance and FIR has been registered against the accused persons under relevant provisions of IPC.

“The complainants have every apprehension that the accused persons are highly influential persons and may hamper or tamper with the witnesses of the complainants and request the present dispensation to do justice with regard to atrocities and condemnable acts committed by the accused/culprits as complainants/victim has every faith in law and justice,’” reads the order.
