ASUS launched a new series of Chromebooks in India with prices starting at Rs. 17,999. The new Chromebook range from Asus targets consumers that are looking for affordable laptops for purposes like learning, work or entertainment.
The new range includes the Chromebook Flip C214, Chromebook C223, Chromebook C423 and Chromebook C523. In addition, the Asus Chromebook C423 and C523 are available in touch and non-touch variants.
The Taiwanese company says that the new affordable Chromebook range offers an 80 per cent screen-to-body ratio for a better display experience. All the models are powered by an Intel Celeron N-series processor and run on Chrome OS.
Specifications
The Chromebook C214 and C223 laptops will be available with an 11.6-inch LED display with 1366×768 pixels screen resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 200 nits, and 50 per cent NTSC.
On the other hand, the Chromebook C423 features a 14-inch 60Hz LED touch screen display with 1366×768 pixels, while the non-touch model comes with the same size and resolution screen minus the touch capability.
Similarly, the Chromebook C523 features a 15.6-inch LED Full-HD 60Hz touch screen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, while the non-touch variant comes with similar specs minus the touch screen capability.
The Chromebook C214, C423, and C523 come with a 64GB storage model, while the C223 packs a 32GB storage capacity. All the models sport 4GB of RAM. For connectivity, all models come with Type-A ports, microSD card compatibility, and an audio jack.
Pricing
Talking about the prices, the Asus Chromebook C223 is the cheapest model in the new range and will be available at Rs 17,999. The Asus Chromebook C423, the non-touch variant, will be available at Rs 19,999.
The Chromebook C523, the non-touch model, is priced at Rs 20,999. The touch variants of the Chromebook C423 and C523 will be available in India at Rs 23,999 and Rs 24,999, respectively.
The Asus Chromebook Flip C214 laptop will be available at Rs 23,999. The new Chromebook laptops will be available from July 22 at 12 am on Flipkart.
Asus says that the Chromebook Flip C214 has been designed for students. It comes with a 360-degree convertible touch-screen display, dual cameras that include an autofocus camera that can be used in tablet mode. The laptop comes with military-grade durability as well.
