Admit Card Details
- For Regular Students:
Admit cards will be distributed by respective schools in hardcopy format. - For Private Students:
Admit cards can be downloaded from the official website: cbse.gov.in.
The admit card will contain the following details:
- Candidate’s name and roll number
- Date of birth
- Parent’s names
- Subjects of examination
- Exam center details
- Admit card ID
Exam Dates
- Class 10 Exams: Begin February 15, 2025, with the English paper.
- Class 12 Exams: Begin February 15, 2025, with the Entrepreneurship paper.
Approximately 44 lakh students are expected to appear for the exams this year.
CBSE Exam Guidelines
CBSE has issued strict examination policies for 2025 to ensure fair and smooth conduct of the exams. Students and schools are advised to adhere to these rules, and violations will result in serious consequences.
Items Permitted in Examination Centres
- For Regular Students: Admit card and school identity card.
- For Private Students: Admit card and government-issued photo identity proof.
- Stationery: Transparent pouch, geometry/pencil box, blue/royal blue pens, scale, eraser, writing pad.
- Other Essentials: Analogue watch, transparent water bottle, metro card, bus pass, money.
Items Barred from Examination Centres

- Stationery:
- Textual material, calculator (except for students with learning disabilities), pen drives, log tables (provided by the centre), electronic pens, etc.
- Communication Devices:
- Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, smartwatches, health bands, etc.
- Miscellaneous:
- Wallets, handbags, goggles, eatables (except for diabetic students).
- Unfair Means:
- Use of any barred item will lead to disqualification and punishment under CBSE rules.
Dress Code
- Regular Students: School uniform.
- Private Students: Light clothes.
Additional Instructions
- Physical frisking will be mandatory for all students before entering the exam centre.
- Students must carry only the permitted items to avoid penalties under the “Unfair Means” category.
