You can’t have the cake and eat it too!

In a statement made in Srinagar today Mr Tariq Bhat, chairperson Cityfmjk and youth leader and social activist lashes out at pro azadi leaders and Kashmiri people for there dual mindset and policies.

MR Bhat said in a huge gathering of Kashmiri youth how is it possible that people in valley get money and jobs from and at the same time surprisingly protest against central government, whilst asking them for development and jobs.

Isnt it a real shameful situation for us? Tariq Bhat said, I am not giving favour to the country  but my simple question is “painsa bhi lo aur unhi se azadi bhi mango, ye kaisi policy hai?”

Tariq Bhat added more about how Kashmiris are exploiting both India and Pakistan for own benefits and making out of them a fool too.
Moreover everyone knows in valley the poor is always becoming poorer and beaurocrates are becoming more and more powerful. Is this our goal?

The common man/ woman is not even able to get funds due to them (take the recent case of flood funds) without fulfilling hundreds of formalities and also being forced to give bribes to the state govt. departments.

He asked how is it possible that when Mr Modi announced flood relief and some business class people protested against it and at the same time criticised Modi for the low amount.

On the one side they say Modi is an anti Muslim and on another they protest against the low amount recieved?

Tariq said that we have to change our dual policy and take a clear stand.

First and foremost we have to actually be clear about what we want and what we have to do for that.

Tariq Bhat, the youth leader is putting all hopes in the youth (both men and women; girls and boys) from schools colleges and otherwise, motivating them through discussions, debates, rallies, workshops and counselling too, to come and join the new movement for peace and communal harmony in valley as well as Jammu and Ladhak. He sees hope in youth alone. He wants them to become more self reliant and also do some self introspection. Not just follow others.

He wants to also make visible the role that media has in the whole process.

The media in Jammu and the youth there too have shown great interest in joining his team.

All of us are interested in working for a united and peaceful state of Jammu Kashmir and Ladhak.

Youth and media together can create the required change in the state!
