J&K Bank won the JKFA Premier Division League 2021 after defeating Kashmir Avengers FC 2-1 in the final match played at Synthetic Turf, TRC, Srinagar.
JK Bank were defending their crown against first time finalist Avengers. It was experience of JK Bank against exuberance of Avengers.
Backed by a vociferous crowd, Avengers took the lead through their striker Kelvin. The score remained 1-0 till half time.
In the second half the seasoned Bank side kept attacking in hopes of an equalizer and were rewarded through Akif Reshi’s goal. The striker then scored another goal at the hour mark to put JK Bank ahead in the final.
Avengers then tried to haul themselves back in the game but met JK Bank’s goalkeeper in inspired form.
In the end JK Bank’s experience saw them through as they comfortably kept their lead intact to win the Premier Division title.
