J&K HIGHWAY TRAFFIC UPDATE FOR TOMORROW (01-01-2022)

(Jammu Srinagar Highway) Traffic Update Tomorrow

Tomorrow, subject to fair weather and better road condition, LMVs (Passenger) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa.
However, TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic.

CUT OFF TIMING:
LMVs from Nagrota (Jammu) 05:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs.
From Jakheni (Udhampur) 06:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs.
From Qazigund 06:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs. No Vehicle shall be allowed before and after cut-off timing.

HMVs: Shall be allowed from Udhampur towards Srinagar after the tail of down HMVs crosses Jakheni. However, TCU Srinagar/Udhampur shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic.

SFs Convoy Movement

Security Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic. They may ply from Jammu towards Srinagar, after confirming the status of NHW.

MUGHAL ROAD Traffic Update Tomorrow

No vehicular traffic Tomorrow.

SSG ROAD (Srinagar-Kargil Highway) Traffic Update Tomorrow

Subject to fair weather and better road condition, only one-way traffic from Srinagar towards Kargil shall be allowed.

CUT OFF TIMING:
LMVs followed by HMVs will be released from Sonamarg from 09:00 upto 14:00 hrs.
No Vehicle shall be allowed before and after cut-off timing.

KISHTWAR-SINTHAN ROAD Traffic Update Tomorrow

No vehicular traffic Tomorrow.

People are advised to undertake journey on NHW-44 only after confirming the status of the road from Traffic control units as under:-

  • Jammu (0191-2459048, 9419147732)
  • Srinagar (0194-2450022, 2485396)
  • Ramban (9419993745)
  • Udhampur (8491928625)
  • PCR Kishtwar (9906154100) for Sinthan Road
