Whereas this office has issued circular instructions to the school authorities for installation of CCTV cameras mandatorily in the school buses. Whereas it was instructed that the installation of CCTV cameras in school buses shall be completed by or before 31st of January 2025. Whereas on the request of President Form of Unaided Recognized Institutions (FOURI), the time has been extended upto 31st of March 2025 for installation of CCTV camera in school buses. Whereas through the medium of this notice it is once again enjoined upon all the school authorities to ensure that all the school buses are installed with CCTV cameras.
Further all enforcement agencies are enjoined upon to launch special drives in their respective jurisdictions (w.e.f 1st April 2025) for ensuring that the CCTV cameras have been installed by the School Authorities in the school buses and action been taken against the erring schools as warranted under the provisions of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the rules framed thereunder. The action taken report in this regard shall be submitted to this Commissionerate on weekly basis
