Aspirants for Junior Assistant posts under the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) have voiced their frustration over the prolonged delay in the release of the provisional selection list.
A delegation of aspirants informed Srinagar-based news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the recruitment process, initiated in 2021-22, has been fraught with delays. Despite conducting the written examination in 2024 and publishing the score sheet shortly after, the JKSSB has yet to release the provisional selection list, leaving candidates in limbo.
“We have been repeatedly visiting the JKSSB head office in Srinagar, but our concerns have been ignored. This delay is causing immense mental stress,” one aspirant said.
The aspirants recalled that the government had assured the completion of all pending recruitments on a fast-track basis. However, the current delay contradicts those commitments, with many candidates lamenting the four-year-long recruitment process. The aspirants claim the wait is taking a significant toll on their well-being and future plans.
In an earnest plea, the aspirants have appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and JKSSB Chairman to intervene and expedite the process. “We urge the authorities to ensure the immediate release of the provisional selection list to end our suffering,” another aspirant added.
