Kashmir Power shutdown announced by KPDCL in several areas from Oct 23 to Nov 6

The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across various areas of the Valley to facilitate maintenance and repair works on 33 KV lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution KPDCL, the 33 KV Kanipora–Pinjoora line will remain shut, affecting power supply to Arhama, Pinjoora, Chowdharygund, and adjoining areas including Town, Trenz, Killora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Pahnoo, Zawoora, and Shirmal from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on October 25, 27, and 30.

Similarly, shutdowns have been scheduled for the 33 KV Tral–I and Tral–II AIIMS Awantipora lines, impacting power supply to Tral, Dadsara, Chewa, Tral Bala, Noorpora, Lurgam, Gulabagh, Aripal, IUST, and adjoining areas from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on October 23.

The 33 KV Tapline of Tral–I from Nowdal will also undergo shutdowns, affecting Tral, Tral-i-Bala, and Chewa receiving stations from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on October 27, 30, and November 3 and 6.

In Shopian, the 33 KV Kanipora–Batapora line shutdown will disrupt power to Batapora, DC Office Shopian, Gagren, Meemandhar, Sharatpora, Shahlatoo, Sedew, Hurpora, Devpora, and adjoining areas from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on October 26.

Meanwhile, the 33 KV Lassipora–Reshipora line will remain off, affecting Zainapora, Chitragam, Turkawangam, Aglar, Nagbal, Reban, Sugan, and Awnera areas from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on October 23.

Similarly, the 33 KV Lassipora–Landoora line will remain shut from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on October 25 and 29, impacting power supply to Landoora, Chakoora, Hermain, Hajipora, Mantribugh, Momin, Wachi, and Babapora.

Additionally, the Batamaloo receiving station will remain off, affecting power supply to Batamaloo, Firdousabad, Magarmal Bagh, and nearby areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on October 23.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to bear with the inconvenience and plan their power usage accordingly.
