SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 18: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of the Kashmir Division between October 20 and October 26, 2025.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution KPDCL, these planned outages are essential for maintenance and upgradation works on various 33 KV and 220 KV lines. The temporary power cuts will affect regions under Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, Beerwah, Magam, and Anantnag circles.
Residents have been advised to take note of the dates and timings and make necessary arrangements during the planned outages.

⚙️ Reason for Shutdown
According to the KPDCL spokesperson, these scheduled power cuts are being implemented to facilitate routine maintenance, infrastructure upgradation, and load optimization across major grid stations and transmission lines in the Kashmir region.
Officials assured that the power supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the works on each line.
