Reliance is likely to announce the launch of cheap Jio 5G smartphones in India. The Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) will be held on June 24. It is expected that Reliance may unveil many of its products along with many important announcements at its AGM 2021.
According to the news published on Cnbctv18, Reliance can launch its Reliance Jio 5G phone in the general meeting. It is also expected that products like budget Jio Book Laptop and JioBook can also be launched in the event.
Reliance had announced in the last AGM that it would launch cheap 5G smartphones with the help of Google, and now with the help of Google and Jio, affordable 5G phones are about to be launched in India.
Features of the JIO 5G phone:
The company has not yet confirmed any feature of the phone. The 5G phone is expected to be an entry-level phone and not a feature phone. According to the report, the phone is not likely to have many additional features, but the phone will reportedly support apps like Facebook, YouTube and WhatsApp natively.
The phone will be given a custom Android operating system. While reports also suggest it may come with Android One, which is meant for entry-level smartphones.
At the same time, it is being said in some reports that Snapdragon 480 5G processor can be used in this phone, which is Qualcomm’s cheapest 5G chipset. Apart from this, if rumours are to be believed, a 2.4-inch TFT display will be given in Jio cheap 5G phone, which will come with 320X240 resolution.
The phone will come with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. As a camera, this phone has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 2000mAh battery.
How Much Will Be The Price?
The price of the Jio Phone has not been disclosed yet. However, analysts estimate that the price of the smartphone could be under Rs 2,500. At the same time, initial estimates suggest that the phone can be available for Rs 2,500-5,000.
